What was wrong, in plain words
- Product pages showed '4.7 out of 5 from 2,769 reviews' on a store doing about 12 orders a month.
- A cart timer, a countdown inside the checkout and 'few items left' bars, and a sale on every product that never ended.
- The footer named the website instead of the company. The Dutch company sat on one page only and the VAT number nowhere.
- Nothing said the store was run from the Netherlands and shipped from China. The checkout said 'Shipped with Royal Mail'.
- Leftovers from other markets: free shipping 'within Switzerland', German page links, Dutch filter labels and euro fees on a pound store.
- What Google approved anyway: a Trustpilot score of 2.4 still public and a domain about eight months old.
Two weeks after the approval, new crossed-out prices at exactly double the selling price had appeared on the store. Stores drift after a win, so they need checking after it too. Real screenshots; store name, website and account ID hidden.
